Film Updates releases preview photos from Syfy’s new original horror film Bring It On: Cheer or Die, offering a significant change for the franchise.

Film Updates tweeted four images from the Go ahead squad from Syfy’s new original horror movie. One photo featured the featured cheerleading uniforms, while the other three images provided insight into the film’s relationship dynamics. The photos give fans their first look at the seventh installment in the franchise, as well as its first horror film. Film Updates also provided a brief synopsis for the film. “A cheer squad’s plan to practice at an abandoned school on Halloween takes a terrifying turn when their teammates start disappearing.”

The franchise expanded into another category when Onward: the musical opened on Broadway in 2012, but animate or die marks his most significant game on the screen.

Alexandra Beaton (The next step), Tiera Skovbye (Once upon a time) and Kerri Medders (Promised land) will star as cheerleaders in the film. Forward: Cheer or Die will be released in 2022.
