James Nesbitt is back for a second series – get the details here
bloody lands is back for season two, and the BBC has shared a first look at the return of james nebitt for the new six-part drama. On the show, James is set to reprise his role as DCI Tom Brannick, weather Peaky Blinders charlene mckenna star, The excavationby Lorcan Cranitch and 1917 actor Chris Walley also stars.

So what can we expect from this season? The official synopsis reads: “When the murder of a corrupt accountant reveals a trail of greed that threatens to expose his identity as legendary assassin, Goliath, DCI Tom Brannick and the accountant’s widow, Olivia Foyle must stay dangerously close.

“As they try to solve the riddle left behind by their husband and get deeper and deeper into each other’s puzzle, Tom and Olivia attract Tom’s fellow officers, DS Niamh McGovern, DCS Jackie Twomey and DC ‘Birdy’ Bird, as well. Tom’s daughter Izzy until deception and betrayal force Tom to wonder how far he will go to keep his legacy intact.” Sign us up for this!
The series will air in September 2022 and will be available on Acorn TV in the US.

James previously spoke of reprising his role in the future, stating: “I’m delighted that viewers have responded to Bloodlands so positively and that we’ll be returning for a second series. I’m always happy to be back in Northern Ireland and reveal even more.” about Tom Brannick”.

The show will return in September.
Fans are certainly curious to find out what happens in the second season after: and spoilers for those who haven’t seen the first season yet – It is revealed that the detective had kept the first season murders a secret for 20 years, but only because the real criminal, David Corry, had blackmailed him into doing it after threatening to harm his wife.
