Blockbuster release date, cast, synopsis, photos and more

Looks like we’re going to see a new comedy series called Blockbuster on Netflix in the near future, and we can’t wait to see it! We are going to share with you everything we know about this upcoming comedy series.

If you were wondering if the Netflix original is centered around a Blockbuster store, we’re here to tell you yes. Every ’90s kid knows how important Blockbuster was to their childhood. As a child, he dreamed of the day his parents would take him to a Blockbuster store and allow him to buy any movie or video game he wanted.

You could go to a Blockbuster store and rent just about any movie or video game you can think of. Of course, the atmosphere inside the store also played a part in the experience. Everyone seemed so happy all the time. Honestly, talking about Blockbuster brings me a sense of nostalgia.

Now with Netflix commissioning the comedy series Blockbuster, we can see that blue movie ticket stub, torn on one side of the logo once again. Read on for the upcoming comedy series release date, cast, synopsis, and more.

Blockbuster release date

Mark your calendars and clear your schedule because the comedy series arrives on Netflix on Thursday, November 3, 2022! You can expect the full season to drop at 12:00am PT/3:00am ET on its release date.

Blockbuster Cast

According to What’s on Netflix, Randall Park will play Timmy, one of the lead roles. You may recognize Park from the superhero series. Wanda Vision. In February 2022, Netflix announced that brooklyn nine nineMelissa Fumero had joined the cast. The full cast list has now been released.

Blockbuster Synopsis

The show follows video store workers as they fight to keep the business from closing. These workers are employees of the last remaining Blockbuster store in America and must find a way to keep the store afloat. There will be a lot of drama, but remember this is a comedy, so you’ll get a lot of laughs.

Here’s the synopsis via Netflix’s press release below:

Timmy Yoon (Randall Park) is an analog dreamer living in a 5G world. And after learning he’s running the latest Blockbuster Video in America, Timmy and his staff (including his longtime crush Eliza (Melissa Fumero)) struggle to stay relevant. The only way to be successful is to remind the community of him that they provide something. big corporations can’t: human connection.

Blockbuster episode count

This series will consist of 10 episodes, and each episode will last 30 minutes.

When is Blockbuster filmed?

Production began sometime in late February 2022 with a tentative completion date of May 2. However, it appears that production was still in progress on May 2 because Melissa Fumero posted an Instagram story saying that filming was almost over. On May 5, the Director of Photography of Blockbuster posted a photo on Instagram of a camera in front of a Blockbuster store.
