BGMI was banned in India in July 2022 and almost a year later, the game is now available to play on both Google Play Store and App Store. The game became available for Android users on May 29, but iPhone users had to wait a bit longer. And now those of you who are trying to access the game through your iPhones can because the game is finally available on the App Store as well.
“BGMI is now playable and implemented with the 2.5 update, offering a refined and immersive experience for players. To ensure a seamless experience, the gameplay of the game will be staggered, allowing users to log in in phases. Inside After a maximum of 48 hours, all users will be able to log in and play the game,” said the game’s developer, Krafton, in a press release dated May 29, 2023.
Download BGMI on iPhone
To download BGMI on your iPhone, simply head over to the App Store and type BGMI. You will see the familiar icon that has been lost for a long time. Click ‘Get’ and wait for the game to start downloading. The size of the game is about 2 GB, so if you are using your mobile data, be aware of the data limit. It is best to download the game over WiFi if you are on a limited data plan.
Once the game finishes downloading, click Open and follow the set of instructions to access it. You will be reminded that BGMI is a “virtual world” and you will be asked if you are over 18 or not.
On a related note, BGMI launched with a limit on play time, as users under the age of 18 can play the game for a duration of three hours per day. On the other hand, the rest of the players can play the game for up to six hours every day.
Get access to your old account
Krafton has always encouraged players to link their social media accounts to the game. This allows your data to be saved and protected. While it is possible to play the game as a guest without logging in, deleting the game or changing devices will result in the loss of all data. If you were playing as a guest before, unfortunately, all your data would be gone and there is no way to get your old account back.
“To keep your account information secure, we strongly recommend linking your game to supported social media accounts,” Krafton responded to a question on his website.
However, if you linked your account to Facebook or Twitter, you can easily recover it by logging in with the same credentials. Simply clicking ‘Login with Facebook’ will also work if your Facebook account, which was linked to the game, is also registered on your device.
