So what’s the best way to kick off the fall season? The Annual Greenstreet Gardens Fall Festival, of course!
Greenstreet Gardens hosts its Fall Festival in its hometown of Lothian, MD. Families are invited to enjoy a fun day on the farm with many fall activities for all ages. Experience the thrill as you get lost in a six-acre corn maze, slide down the bumpy underground slide, and explore the farm’s magical Woodlands area.
Climb aboard the cow train and enjoy the beauty of a hay ride through the autumn countryside. Jump on a pillow and into the box of corn. Paint your face, check out the tire tower, and much more as you create unforgettable memories with your family! Don’t forget to explore the giant pumpkin patch before you go!
“The most important thing I want my clients in Alexandria to know is that we are only 30 minutes away,” said Ray Greenstreet, owner and manager of Greenstreet Gardens with his wife, Stacy Greenstreet. “We try to make the festival fun for all members of the family, young and old. It’s a great opportunity to create lifelong memories with your loved ones and have fun doing it.”
A fun fact about Greenstreet is how much goes on behind the scenes. While the Fall Festival is running at full speed, Greenstreet still runs a wholesale operation, three retail centers, a landscaping division and a holiday decorating department in the background.
“Things never slow down at Greenstreet, but the Fall Festival is one of our favorite events,” said Bri Tomlinson, director of marketing for Greenstreet. “This is when we can connect with our community and customers on a more personal level. We want to create an environment that is fun and safe for everyone. That is why we always try to go above and beyond when planning our Fall Festival.”
In addition to the fantastic activities available, the Fall Festival is the place to enjoy delicious food and drinks. The Lothian Ruritan Club will run the grid every weekend this season. Local favorite Sandy Pony Donuts will be available with their delicious cake donuts, Beachin Bay Bakery will offer treats, and Greenspring Brewing Co. will also offer refreshing beers.
The Fall Festival is open to the public on weekends, but Greenstreet also hosts special events throughout the season! They kick off their fall event with an annual movie under the stars on Friday, September 16 at 7 pm Entry is canned food, which will be donated to the Lothian SCAN Food Pantry.
Greenstreet loves to celebrate the heroes of our world. The first weekend of the Fall Festival (September 17 and 18) is Heroes’ Weekend: all military, police, firefighters, EMTs, nurses, and teachers get free admission with an ID upon registration.
